So far, we have learnt through this section of research that music videos have several codes and conventions that for mainstream viewing are followed.
We have also learnt about techniques such as colour grading being used in post production and also the effects of cutting to the beat of the music and what kind of effect this can have on the finished product.
After looking at typical and untypical styles of music video, it is clear to me that some styles such as heavy colour grading such as used in D12 purple pills would not work in out product, but image manipulation such as films and layers being placed over could work.

Try and add to the first paragraph - what are the key codes and conventions for mainstream videos? Will you need to use any of these - if so, why? Why is it generally helpful to use at least some of them? Yet why is it also typical for a product to do something a little bit different to the formula? Do you hope to try to add something new?
