Final Ancillary Tasks: Digipak and Advert
All of these panels have been created using photshop.
Final front Cover:
For this panel we used 2 separate images and placed the image of Richard over the background image, after cutting him out and applying a sketchy filter to the image of him. after placing the image of him, we then used the curves and opacity tool to change the colour intensity of the image then applied the same sketchy filter. after moving the images around, we added the album name and the artists name 'King' which is a homage to the 80's star prince.
Final Back cover:
For this panel we used an image taken again on my phone and changed the hue and saturation to create a darker look and also applied a orange tint to the image to create a slightly warmer feel. we then added on the track-list, barcode, mock web address and record labels to create a realistic look. we wanted this panel to be simple yet striking in order to allow the consumer to appreciate the album artwork, but also simple enough to read the words as it took a while to find the correct font colour as most colours we used would not work well with the background image colours and prohibited reading properly.

Part B- Ancillary evaluation
Media Evaluation- Part B on Prezi
Part C- Final reflection
From this evaluation i think i have stuck well to the overall convention of a music video and the ancillary tasks, but genre specific, I feel I have broken these conventions quite frequently. I feel i have done this as a way of showing that Indie pop rock can be anything you want it to be because the indie genre is about self expression, therefore the codes and conventions for the indie genre should not be too tightly formed.
I have done question one on my own.
Question 2: How effective is the combination of your main products and ancillary tasks?

Question 3: What have you learnt from your audience feedback?
From my audience feedback, i have learnt that the ideas and especially the brand image i had created were noticed by the people i gave the questionnaires to. I learnt that although the audience may not have picked up on exactly the genre of the music video (Indie pop rock) as i received one or two answers that said ballad or gentle rock. However, i understand why the audience put answers like these, and this is because i broke several of the conventions that viewers would expect to see for this genre.
Here is some of the feedback for both music video and ancillary tasks:
Question 4: How did you use media technologies in the construction, research, planning and evaluation stages?
